Brillig Systems is a privately held company with headquarters in Greenville, South Carolina.
Brillig Systems was founded with the underlying principle of providing high quality professional
services to manufacturing and industrial clients. Our world-class professionals are recognized

Project Management: We provide professionally registered project managers who can not only
successfully manage projects but also understand what they are managing. Many of our project
managers are engineers and technical experts in their fields. Our particular strength is managing
process automation projects involving design, construction, installation, and commissioning of
computer systems that control manufacturing operations. Recent project have included: a multi-million
dollar upgrade to a pharmaceutical plant producing insulin; a new biotech facility for producing a
cancer fighting drug; and a new chemical plant for making poly-silicone. In addition to managing new
green-field projects we provide rescue and recovery for projects that have become over-budget or behind
schedule.
We also provide project management services in the IT arena – a recent example being the management of a
maintenance system upgrade for a Fortune 100 client.
Project control services are an adjunct to our project management services and we have a highly-trained
and professionally qualified staff that can track costs, update schedules and produce program metrics
that ensure project success.
Technical Consulting Services: Brillig Systems provides specialized technical services to help implement
process control systems. Particular areas of expertise include: defining user requirements, writing
functional specifications, code development, testing, validation, and commissioning.
Consulting and Training: Our consultants provide specialized project management training targeted at the
process automation field. Our specialized knowledge has also meant that are frequently called upon to help
our clients increase and institutionalize their internal expertise by providing guidelines and standards.
Recent examples being a staffing plan guideline and an analysis of the workflow for instrumentation and
controls in a large corporate engineering environment.

Graham Smith is a world-class professional who has helped companies in Europe, America, and Asia execute
complex technical projects. He has over 25 years experience in successfully managing IT and automation
projects. His experience covers many industries including pharmaceutical, telecommunications, semiconductor,
automotive, chemicals, plastics, distribution, and textiles. He is proud to be an American. He is a
registered Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI), a Chartered
Engineer in his homeland of England, and a member of the IEE and the IEEE. Graham is a graduate of the
University of Manchester and the University of London.
Raymond Teaster, PE

A Professional Engineer with over 25 year's experience, Raymond Teaster has successfully managed and executed
automation projects of all sizes and in a variety of industries. Raymond joined Brillig Systems in 2004 and
became a partner in 2006. Raymond currently is focused on managing Brillig’s collaborative relationship with
one of the world’s largest engineering firms. This relationship involves supporting the firm’s efforts by
providing automation project management and specialized engineering services. Raymond has successfully
delivered pharmaceutical and biotech automation projects for some of the industry’s leaders. In addition to
pharmaceutical and biotech, Raymond has assisted clients in the chemicals, semiconductor, foods, plastics and
textile industries worldwide. Raymond has a Chemical Engineering degree from Clemson University and is a
member of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and the Project Management
Institute (PMI).
David Adler, PE, CAP

With over thirty years of experience as a process control engineer, Dave has been a leader of site automation
teams and a corporate automation consultant at a major pharmaceutical firm. Dave has instructed and
coordinated numerous internal training classes including automation project management and process control
theory. Having managed numerous complex engineering projects and led diverse technical groups, he has been
the corporate go-to guy when projects were behind schedule or over budget. Dave is a Professional Engineer
and Certified Automation Professional. He is a published author in his field and chairman of the
Pharmaceutical Automation Roundtable. Dave has a Bachelors and Masters in Chemical Engineering from Purdue
University where he is also an engineering recruiting captain.
Greg Elliott

Greg has over 17 years of professional experience, most recently managing a multi-million dollar engineering
business providing professional services to Eli Lilly in Indianapolis. He has served as project manager for
numerous projects covering a wide range of industrial applications, including life sciences and pharmaceutical,
biotech and medical devices, automotive, and power generation. Greg has managed technology teams comprised of
certified engineers, technologists, software programmers, and designers and ensured projects followed
scheduled milestones, maintained tracking and forecasting of project budgets and resources, and provided
earned value reporting. Greg has received awards recognition from a global leader in automation controls
engineering for demonstrated excellence in project delivery. He is a graduate of the Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology and has a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Greg is also a
member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Project Management Institute (PMI),
and the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE).
